William H. Boole

William H. Boole (1827 - February 24, 1896) was the pastor of the Willet Street Methodist Church in the Bowery in New York City. He ran in the 1882 New York gubernatorial election with the Prohibition Party.[1]

Biography

He was born in 1828 to John Boole and Magdalene Jane Ackerman, and he had a brother Francis John Ackerman Boole who ran unsuccessfully for the Mayor of New York City.[2] He married Eunice Goodwin around 1843. He ran in the 1882 New York gubernatorial election from the Prohibition Party and he declined the 1883 nomination.[1] He married Ella Alexander on on July 3, 1883.[2]

He was a trustee and juryman for Prohibition Park on Staten Island.[3]

He died on February 24, 1896 at his home in Prohibition Park.[2]
